Learning to Knit

I know some of you have been wondering what I've been doing or where I was. Well....... I've been learning a new skill or as some would call it a new craft.....knitting.

Yes, knitting. How do you go from crocheting to knitting you might ask, easy, I've wanted to learn since the '70's. There was a beautiful horizontal cabled, dolman sleeved, mocked turtle neck sweater I saw in a magazine I wanted, the instructions were there and I didn't have a clue but I vowed one day to learn to knit so I could make that sweater. I have spent the last three months teaching myself to knit. Top, left is a picture of a sweater pattern I found, two pieces, easy as pie and of course I had to change the top part of the sweater, I can never do anything the easy way, like Tina Turner, it had to be rough, lol.

Now for my version and I plan to make many more and see how many variations I can get from this one sweater, as I progress, I promise to share my new skills with you. This is just proof that you're never too old to learn something new, and if you put your mind to it you can do it.

Please feel free to leave any comments and or questions. 'Happy New Year'. Learn something new this year.

Good for you. I've always wanted to learn how to knit, but never took the time to do it. Your sweaters really turned out nice. Glad to have you back.

Thanks Ann, if I can learn to knit in the middle of night, I think anybody can, I put the crochet hooks to the side for a minute and found that the internet is really a good source for information whenever I got stuck.
