Hook, Yarn (Cotton)

This week I want to talk to you about crochet. Yes, that's right, crochet. Seems strange and maybe a little bizaar, believe me I am neither.

I've had a lot of wants buzzing around in my head lately, so I took hook in hand along with yarn of course (cotton) and I began to just crochet, just to see where this was going to take me. I started the chain, yes, the very beginning and nothing happened. Mind was busy, hands weren't cooperating. I took that chain a loose and started again. I started working my leaves pattern for the scarflettes got about 3 leaves done and I wasn't feeling that either. Yep, once again it came a loose.

I sat a spell and thought, watched a little TV, still with hook and yarn (cotton) in hand. Then it dawned on me. It's time to take that Pill Box to another level and I did. I did it!

It's not quite finished, needs some attention, but the hard part is over. Here is my new dream. This is really a fun hat. You can just do with it what you want.

Now to write the pattern. I know, I probably should have done that as I was working the hat, but between hook, yarn (cotton) and TV, there was no room for writing.

Now between the hook, yarn (cotton), TV and chocolate frosting I'm working another one. I love these hat's and while I'm at it, I'm going to start my winter hats. I need a jump on the season.

Sharing Words of Wisdom

Another week, another thought:

Notice the good things about people.

We all have qualms with some people. There is always something about someone we don't like and we have a tendency to focus on those faults or dislikes.

This week I want to focus on something that is really difficult for most, including myself. This week let's find and make a list of everything good about that person.

Pick just one person you interact with on a pretty regular bases and list their positive findings.
This exercise is good for you. It helps you, your thought process, your heart. It takes a lot of negative energy to focus on the ugly, you have to hold all the bad you feel for that person the better part of day. This makes you unhappy and will keep a frown on your face. You'll even frown in your sleep.

This week we will focus on the good. As Will Smith stated, "Inheritedly, there is good in everyone." Even if they only love their pet, that is something good.

I'll start with 'They':

1. Have a beautiful smile.
2. Willing to help others.
3. Love family and friends.
4. Hates injustice.

Give me yours.
